How long does replacing a roof typically take?
A roof replacement typically takes one to two days depending on the square footage being replaced. If underlying issues are discovered during tear-off, additional time will be needed for project completion.
How can we get an estimate?
Estimates can be requested by calling the office or requesting online through our website. A company representative will perform an inspection and provide an estimate based on desired roofing material. In the case of repairs, many times the work may be completed the same day as the estimate is provided.
Do we have to be out of the house when you are replacing the roof?
No, leaving your home is not necessary during the roof replacement process; however, the noise and vibrations may be bothersome to some homeowners and pets. A “What To Expect Brochure” will be provided to all homeowners with information on what to expect before, during and after the renovation process.
How do you calculate the number of shingles I will need for my roof?
Shingle replacement is measured by roof squares (1 square=100 square feet). Our professionals measure the roof manually or with satellite imagery.
Why is there discoloring in my roof?
The most common cause of discoloration on asphalt shingle roofs is an algae known as Gloeocapsa Magma, spread by airborne spores. Discoloration may also be attributed to defective shingles, mold or mildew. It is important to treat these stains, as they will hold moisture within the shingles which may cause rotting, premature aging and/or granule loss. Some homemade cleansers as well as some products available in the market have proven effective in removing these stains.
Algae-resistant shingles have become the focus of multiple roofing manufacturers and typically carry a limited 10–15 year warranty.
What kind of ventilation can I use on my roof?
Multiple products are available on the market for roof ventilation and they are unique to every home. Several factors such as code requirements, regional climate, and ceiling design need to be taken into consideration when choosing your roofing ventilation system. It is important to consult a roofing expert or an energy efficiency expert to determine the type and amount of roof vents for proper attic ventilation. Proper ventilation is an important part of the roof design to ensure appropriate temperatures in the attic and moderate temperatures in the rest of the home, which in turn promotes energy efficiency. Proper ventilation also prevents moisture buildup in your attic which can help prevent condensation in attic materials including the insulation, roof framing and sheathing.
Should I paint my house before siding takes place?

Will siding crack or fade?

However, advancements in development and manufacturing have made siding stronger and less brittle. Some may last up to 50 years without cracking or fading with the proper maintenance.
How often do I need to replace siding?
Replacement depends on the age and condition of the siding. Regional climate, quality of siding material and annual maintenance are all factors that affect the duration of your home’s siding.
Is a full siding job the only option?
No. Depending on the age of the siding, the same product may still be available in the market and damaged sections may be replaced. For aesthetic purposes, you always want to replace sections with the same type and quality siding.
What siding material do you recommend using?
Choosing siding materials is personal and there are many factors to consider when choosing the right type for you. Great advancements in siding manufacturing have made great quality material available for all price points and tastes.
Is there Maintenance involved after a siding job?

My home was damaged by hail, what is the turn time to fix this?
Property damage caused by hail should be reported to the homeowner’s insurance company as soon as possible. Each insurance company has a deadline to file a claim which varies from one insurance company to the other. Typically, homeowners have 1 year to file a claim but some companies allow up to 2. It is imperative homeowners check their policies for information on deadlines.
I got my check from the insurance adjuster for hail damage, now what?
After receiving the initial check from the insurance company, homeowners should research reputable local companies to consider for the project. The Better Business Bureau is a great place to start. Do not consider any companies without due diligence. Ensure the company chosen understands and is able to explain the claims process to your satisfaction and is willing to work with your insurance carrier to pay for items they might have missed during the initial inspection.
Will you work with my insurance company to help me move forward with my roofing job?
